The first ECMO ventilator center in Kyushu will open inside the Fukuoka University Hospital in Jonan Ward. The hospital, which has been using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation systems on patients in its emergency rooms, will develop a new facility to improve its medical performance further and train more skilled workers. The center plans to join an international organization formed by ECMO-related facilities, ELSO, as the first such facility based in Kyushu. Source: NHK
