Fukuoka University to Compensate ¥100,000 to 84 Students

The Fukuoka University announced it will compensate approximately 800 applicants who failed to enter the Faculty of Medicine due to an improper selection process for entrance exams between 2017 and 2018. The university was accused of manipulating entrance exam results for several years, and 84 applicants are thought to have missed their seats because of this. While the university will not accept the entrance of those 84 persons, compensation of ¥100,000 will be paid to each of the failed applicants in those two years. Source: NHK News Web, 3/29/2019
