Oct. 30 was the opening day for a new section inside the Fukuoka City Zoo. Three times more than usual number of people (3,200) visited the new section which resembles a tropical jungle! The new barrier free section is 1,800 square meters and cost 10 million yen to construct. The section features a 50 meter tower for monkeys to swing from and glass water tanks for the otters.
