Fukuoka City Mayor Soichiro Takashima visited the world’s oldest woman, who lives in Fukuoka. He visited her in advance of the upcoming Respect for the Aged Day (Sep. 16) in Japan. Kane Tanaka, 116 years old, has been officially confirmed as the oldest living person as of March 9, 2019. A special cake with a decoration of the reversi board game was presented at a retirement home in Higashi Ward.
