On October 4, Shinmei Holdings, based in Kobe, announced a capital and business alliance with SENTAN Pharma, a Fukuoka-based pharmaceutical startup specializing in nanoparticle technology. Although the investment amount was not disclosed, it is estimated to be in the hundreds of millions of yen. The collaboration aims to leverage SENTAN Pharma’s expertise in developing health foods to strengthen the development and sales of rice-based products.
Shinmei will take charge of sales and co-develop products with SENTAN Pharma. They plan to target affluent customers through department stores and online retail platforms.
