Funding Sought for Children Support Program in Saga

The launch of a general incorporated association, Kodomo Takusyoku Oendan, in Saga was announced. A representative of the Tokyo-based, certified NPO Florence Hiroki Komazaki opened this association to expand his “Kodomo Takushoku” (meal delivery for kids) activity nationwide. By delivering meals on a regular basis to children who live in financially-difficult situations, this service aims to support their health as well as to minimize the risk of domestic violence in their lives. The association is currently seeking ¥30 million funding through the hometown donation scheme (“Furusato Nozei”) to Saga Prefecture and to start the service by fall 2019.
