The Geminids meteor shower will start on Dec. 14 (Mon.) and peak on Dec. 15 (Tue.) at around 3:00. Viewers all over the world will be able to see the shower with the naked eye, but it can be best observed away from light pollution (i.e., not in urban areas). NASA calls the Geminids “one of the best and most reliable of the annual meteor showers”, and predicts optimum viewing conditions this year, since the moon will be a thin crescent and will set early.
