Hakata Hankyu, the department store located in the JR Hakata Station Building, revealed that it plans a remodeling program to allow them to bring in more than 30 specialty shops to the premises. The remodeling will center on the popular basement food products sales area. It already began in that section on the 22nd, which itself will house 10 of the new shops. Many of the new spaces will be occupied by companies opening their first Kyushu outlet.
