Hakuho Sho, a yokozuna (grand champion) sumo wrestler from Mongolia, achieved his 1,000th win on Nov. 15 at the Kyushu Basho in Fukuoka. He became the third wrestler in history to achieve the feat. In an interview he said he never thought the feat possible. The other two wrestlers are the recently deceased Chiyonofuji (from Hokkaido) and Kaio (from Fukuoka).
