The Fukuoka Regional Meteorological Observatory and the Ministry of the Environment have issued a heatstroke alert for Fukuoka Prefecture on August 9. Temperatures are expected to reach 37°C in Kurume, 35°C in Fukuoka City and Iizuka, and 34°C in Kitakyushu’s Yahata Nishi Ward. Residents are advised to stay indoors, use air conditioning, and take precautions when exercising, such as having medical personnel present or staying indoors.
