High Speed Computer System to be Lent to Northern Kyushu Researchers

The Kitakyushu Foundation for the Advancement of Industry, Science and Technology (FAIS) announced it will lend the use of a high speed computer system equipped with Cell, the latest semiconductors, to northern Kyushu researchers free of charge. Cell was jointly developed by Sony, Toshiba, and IBM. The system has roughly double the calculating capacity of conventional systems.
