High Yen Accelerates Yaskawa Electric Shift Overseas


The high yen is having a devastating effect on Kyushu-based manufacturers. Kitakyushu-based Yaskawa Electric, a global leader in industrial motors and invertors, says it cannot use Japan at present as a center for exports. To respond, the company will expand production in regions with demand, particularly China, and step up local procurement.
