Hoken 100-Ban, an insurance agency based in Kasuya-machi, Fukuoka Prefecture, opened a franchised outlet in Los Angeles, California. It is the agency’s second overseas franchised outlet after they opened one in Bangkok, Thailand, earlier this month. They plan to continue the expansion of these outlets in the United States and Asia. The company thinks they are the first Japanese insurer to establish an overseas presence, and they hope to use this to increase their name recognition in Japan as well. Source: Nishinippon Shimbun
