An Honorary Consulate of Sweden opened at the air conditioning makers, Seibu Giken, in Koga on Dec. 1. The president of the company, Fumio Kuma became the honorary consul. The consulate covers the area of Kyushu, Okinawa, Hiroshima, Shimane and Yamaguchi. Swedish nationals living in those areas can apply for passports here. In the run up to and during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics Fukuoka will host the Swedish Olympic team. Source: Seibu Giken, Dec. 2, 2016
