The former Evergreen Marinoa Hotel, which closed in May 2011, will reopen as Hotel Marinoa Resort Fukuoka in December. Kanagawa Prefecture-based Tokyo BMC Support, a hotel and bridal salon consulting firm, will rent the building from the current owner, Taiwan’s Evergreen Group, and spend about ¥200 million on renovations. The 7-story hotel located next to the Marinoa City Fukuoka outlet mall has 44 rooms, all of which face Hakata Bay. Tokyo BMC Support said it plans to give the hotel more of a “resort feel”.
