IKEA Shingu welcomed their 2,000,000th customer through the door at noon yesterday, Oct. 4. The store is Kyushu’s first IKEA, and since opening on Apr. 11, 2012, it has attracted shoppers from Fukuoka and beyond! Just two months ago in August, IKEA Shingu celebrated 1,500,000 customers, and their 1,000,000 customer milestone was two months before that, in June. According to this pattern, the store averages 50,000 shoppers every two months. An IKEA coupon for ¥200,000 was handed to the lucky 2 millionth shopper!
