Indoor Wooden Play Facility Opens in Munakata

Munakata City will open an all-weather wooden play facility called “Mu-Mo” on December 6. At a preview on December 2, about 200 children and guardians explored the 1,750-square-meter indoor space, one of Kyushu’s largest wood-themed play areas. Designed for infants to elementary-school-age children, it features slides and climbing structures made from domestic cedar and cypress. The facility was created in response to requests for a safe space for children to play during extreme heat or rainy weather. A café run by a midwife will serve food and offer a social space for parents. Admission ranges from ¥300 to ¥800, with re-entry permitted throughout the day. Source: Mu-Mo
