Industry, Academia, and Governments to Form Group to Promote Ruby in Fukuoka

Software development companies, universities, and local governments will combine to form a group, called F-Ruby, in August to promote the use of the Ruby programming language in Fukuoka Prefecture. They hope to link their efforts with the prefectural policy to promote the bundled software and content industry and thereby achieve a synergistic effect. The prefecture also hopes to establish itself as a development center using Ruby before other regions in Japan, providing a fillip to local industry.
