Last October, Kitakyushu was one of the first cities in the country to open areas in public buildings and department stores for mothers to nurse their infants or change their diapers. Since then, the use of these facilities has expanded to Fukuoka City, Kasuga, and Maebaru. The three cities have now decided to use a special symbol for these facilities, which are called “baby stations”, to make them easily recognizable.
