Chikaranomoto Holdings (Fukuoka City) announced the opening of their first Hakata ramen restaurant “Ippudo” in Myanmar’s largest city, Yangon on April 11. The restaurant was opened in a commercial complex facility in the center of the city by a Singaporean company under license from Chikaranomoto Holdings. The number of Japanese restaurants is increasing in Yangon, but not many offer ramen. The new Ippudo will offer its signature bowls including Shiromaru-motoaji, Akamaru-shinaji and spicy Karaka-men.
