On October 8, Fukuoka City announced the selling of land in Island City (Higashi Ward) to major domestic companies. The furniture brand, Nitori Co., Ltd., would acquire a lot of 40,982 square meters for ¥7.7 billion. At the same time, Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd., Tokyu Land Corporation, Marubeni Corporation, and Nishinippon Shimbun Co., Ltd. would jointly purchase the 39,306 m2 land for ¥11.8 billion.
