A Japan-South Korea Forum with participants from both countries scheduled to begin on the 29th in Fukuoka City with participants from both countries has been postponed at the request of the Japan Center for International Exchange due to the current diplomatic tensions between the two countries. The chairman of the forum sent a letter suggesting it would be difficult to have constructive debate at the present time, and that it would be rescheduled later. It has been held every year since 1993 with the site alternating between the two countries.
