A Japanese competitor won the Oita International Wheelchair Marathon for the first time in ten years. The winner’s name is Hiroyuki Yamamoto, 50, from Fukuoka City. This was his 25th time to participate in the marathon but only the first time to win. He came in 12th in the Rio 2016 Paralympic wheelchair marathon.
