Johnny Depp Shares Message Prior to Motion Picture “Minamata” (Kumamoto)

Johnny Depp, the producer and leading actor of the period film “Minamata,” about the environmental disaster in Minamata (Kumamoto Prefecture,) held a press conference ahead of the film’s Japanese release on September 23. He expressed high regard to the co-starred Japanese actor, Hiroyuki Sanada, and more for their dedication to the filming. Depp also said that he was hoping many people would watch the film, especially during this time of the new coronavirus pandemic.
