Joyful to Shorten Operating Hours

The Oita City-based restaurant chain Joyful announced they will end 24-hour operations at 130 of their shops by November. The company said that customer growth is lagging due to higher gasoline prices, and revenue fell 3.4% during the first half of this year. The shorter hours will enable the chain to reduce personnel costs and utility expenses.
