JR Hakata City marked one billion cumulative visits with a ceremony on Sep. 18. The station complex reached the milestone on Sep. 9, about 15 and a half years after opening in March 2011. It includes Hakata Hankyu and Amu Plaza Hakata. The complex now receives about 200,000 visits a day.
