Fukuoka City-based JR Kyushu Bus and three other companies will extend discount fares, some of which are 50% off, for expressway buses on certain routes. The move is being implemented to counter the 1,000 yen tolls on expressways. One example is the discount on the Fukuoka City-Hiroshima route, which was supposed to expire at the end of November. It will now be extended to January.
