JR Kyushu announced the cancelation of all express trains during the coming Golden Week holidays to reduce travel between different prefectures. Reflecting upon the nationwide expansion of the state of emergency, the company decided to cancel its 1,402 express services of conventional trains between May 2 ~ May 6. Purchased tickets for Sonic, Kamome, Midori, and other canceled trains will be refunded without a fee. The company notes that there may be more train cancellations depending on the situation.
