JR Kyushu announced that its IT subsidiary JR Kyushu System Solutions Inc. has formed a joint venture with Patni Computer Systems Japan, Inc., the Japanese arm of Patni Computer Systems of India. The new company will provide companies in Japan with IT systems for business management and software development services for products. The move gives the Indian company greater access to automobile and semiconductor companies in Kyushu, and is viewed as the next step in JR Kyushu’s Asia strategy.
