JR Kyushu announced a new program allowing commuters to reserve the same seat for an entire month on select limited express trains. The “Excel Pass My Seat” service will be available starting March 1 on routes such as Hakata to Oita. For an additional monthly fee of ¥4,900 to ¥9,800, passholders can reserve seats in Green or standard reserved cars, depending on the train.
