JR Kyushu Jet Ferry announced on March 5 that they reached an agreement with Austal, an Australia-based shipbuilding company. Austal will construct a new high-speed ship that will be used by Jet Ferry on its Japan (Fukuoka)-Korea (Busan) sea route. The boat will be 83 meters in length and will have a capacity of 502 passengers. The construction is expected to cost approximately ¥5.5 billion.
