JR Kyushu announced that its revenue from railroad operations declined 0.9% from the year-before period. This represents an improvement over the year-on-year revenue declines at the 10% level the company has suffered since April. They attribute the improvement to the roughly 10% increase in passenger totals achieved during the September Silver Week holidays.
