JR Kyushu will experiment with using a subscription service for commuter pass users of the SUGOCA transportation system IC card from December 1st to the end of April 2023. For ¥6,000 per month, commuters can get two cups of coffee a day at a café in JR Hakata Station; for ¥900 per month, they can get a half-price draft beer at an izakaya; and they can get coupons for a co-working space in Hakata Station, etc. JR Kyushu aims to increase the number of commuter pass purchasers.
