JR Kyushu will build a roughly 150-room hotel about five minutes’ walk from Hakata Station, aiming to start operations in fiscal 2028. Operated by subsidiary JR Kyushu Hotels & Resorts, the tentatively named Hakata Ekimae 3-chome Hotel will be developed by Fukuoka-based real-estate firm Yaoji.
