JR Kyushu revealed plans to invite international luxury hotels to Kyushu. Four companies including Marriott International, InterContinental Hotel Group, and two other hotel brands are eyed as project partner candidates. The stated goal is for a new hotel to be developed in one of the sightseeing areas in Kyushu, excluding Fukuoka Prefecture.
