JR Kyushu To Raise Express Train Fares

In April 2022, express fares will rise by ¥120 ~ ¥920, depending on the distance. With the new fare system, a one-way trip between Hakata-Nagasaki on a non-reserved seat would cost ¥5,060 (+19% from the current fare.)  Seasonal fares will also be introduced for some reserved-seat tickets for holiday seasons (*4/1~4/5, 4/28~5/6, 7/21~8/31, 12/25~1/10, and 3/21~3/31.) It would be the first express fare hike since the establishment of JR Kyushu in 1987. Source: Nikkei / Saga Shimbun / JR Kyushu
