JR Kyushu announced a 15% price increase for 34 types of discount tickets starting April 2025. For example, a two-ticket set for the Hakata-Kokura route will rise from ¥2,940 to ¥3,400, while the Hakata-Saga route will increase from ¥2,500 to ¥2,900. Internet-based discount tickets, including the “Kyushu Net Ticket,” will also see similar hikes. The company cited rising costs, such as electricity, as the primary reason for the increases.
