The Junkudo bookstore in Tenjin is holding a “Thank You, Junkudo Bookstore Fukuoka Shop” fair as it counts down to its closure on June 30. The shop, which has served the local community for 19 years, will close on June 30 due to the scheduled redevelopment of the building. To bid farewell to the current location, 50 best-selling books issued by Fukuoka-based publishers are on display in front of the service counter on the 2nd floor along with other unique selections. The reopening of the shop is yet to be decided. *The shop is currently open under reduced hours (weekdays: 12:00~18:00, weekends and holidays.: closed) to reduce the risk of the spread of new coronavirus.
