Kagoshima Prefecture Gov. Yuichiro Ito said the prefecture would not join the group to be formed in July by Softbank President Masayoshi Son to work with local governments to promote natural energy. He said they already were working with Kyocera, which has patents for solar panels. Five Kyushu governments have expressed a willingness to join the program, while Fukuoka Prefecture has yet to decide.
