JR Kyushu announced its design plans for the upcoming Kamome shinkansen train. The 396-passenger train features corporate colors of red and white on the outside and a cozy and beautiful atmosphere on the inside. Three reserved-seat cars present different Japanese motifs of shishi (lion,) karakusa (arabesque,) and chrysanthemum woven on the seat covers. The train will begin operation in the fall of 2022.
