The Saga Prefectural Board of Education dismissed a 37-year-old male elementary school teacher in Karatsu City on May 27 for possessing and distributing approximately 500 child pornography videos. The teacher reportedly obtained the videos from individuals met via social media and shared them with others. The case came to light during a voluntary police inquiry.
The teacher denies creating any of the content himself. In separate disciplinary actions, two other male school employees in their 40s were suspended for six and three months respectively over incidents of inappropriate conduct toward a female colleague. Source: KBC
