Kawabata Shopping Arcade More Accessible for Overseas Shoppers

Kawabata Shotengai introduced a number of measures to enhance the experience of tourists using the shopping arcade. Shoppers can now access the free Fukuoka City Wi-Fi service and refer to the arcade’s multilingual homepage for shopping information. Maps of the area and information boards inside the arcade are also available in various languages (English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese). The boards are located at 100 m intervals, providing information about your current location, the surrounding facilities, as well as the arcade’s rules and regulations. The various initiatives promise to make the Kawabata Shotengai more accessible for overseas shoppers. Source: Fukuoka City, 1/22/2018
