In anticipation of large crowds for Halloween, Fukuoka City installed fencing around Kego Park in Tenjin on October 28 (until Nov. 2) to restrict access. The park, a popular gathering spot for young people during the season, will host the “Hitori Hitohana Autumn Festival” from October 29 to November 2. To prevent congestion and disturbances, the city will prohibit entry to the park after 5 p.m. throughout the festival period. Police plan to strengthen patrols and implement traffic restrictions in parts of the Tenjin district on October 31, when the largest crowds are expected. The measure follows similar actions in recent years to maintain safety in the city center during Halloween celebrations. Source: RKB
