The Keyaki-Dori Development Association, chaired by Books Kubrick owner Minoru Oi, has received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Promoting Urban Greening at the 19th Midori Ceremony held in Tokyo. The honor recognizes over 30 years of sustained efforts including tree planting, floral displays, and community clean-up initiatives along Fukuoka’s Keyaki-Dori. The award ceremony, attended by top government officials and Their Majesties the Emperor and Empress, acknowledged the group’s contribution to landscape preservation and environmental awareness. Oi also participated in a post-ceremony audience with the Imperial couple to explain the group’s initiatives. Source: Books Kubrick
