Kitakyushu Allocates Funds to Support SMEs Hit by Tariffs

Amid concerns over the impact of renewed U.S. tariff policies, Kitakyushu City will earmark ¥25 million in its supplementary budget to help small and mid-sized businesses expand markets and develop new ventures. The city has already set up consultation services for affected companies.

The full supplementary budget, totaling over ¥860 million, also includes ¥286 million to enhance logistics capabilities at Kitakyushu Airport and ¥18 million for issuing food coupons at local markets to counter inflation. Source: NHK
