New coronavirus vaccinations for elderly residents will begin in Fukuoka and Kitakyushu cities in April. The mayor of Fukuoka City, Soichiro Takashima, announced on Mar. 30 that approximately 10,800 COVID-19 vaccine doses would be delivered to the city in April. However, as around 340,000 people are eligible for the city’s priority vaccination program within the group of senior residents, vaccinations will only be given on a trial basis. Kitakyushu City will also conduct vaccinations for some senior residents from Apr. 12. Source: KBC / RKB
