Kitakyushu Gets ¥20M for Education via Tax Program

The Tokyo-based trading firm Seika Sangyo has donated ¥20 million to Kitakyushu City through the corporate hometown tax system. In recognition, the city awarded the company an official letter of appreciation. Founded in 1947 in the former Moji City, Seika Sangyo made the donation to support youth development in its founding city. The funds will be used for new city-run educational programs including the “Future Exploration Project” for elementary and junior high students and facility upgrades at municipal high schools.
