Kitakyushu to Commercialize Governmental Reforms

The city of Kitakyushu, which is developing a computer system to integrate operations at ward offices, revealed that it is planning to package that system with its expertise in personnel reduction and other reform measures for sale to other local governments. The city will form a sales company with the firm with which they are developing the computer system software. The city says it is the first attempt in Japan to commercialize governmental reforms.
