Kitakyushu City will implement its first-ever business rescue plan for the local airline company, Star Flyer Inc. As the anticipated impact of losing direct flights to Tokyo will be grave for Kitakyushu Airport, the city will grant a ¥1 billion aid to the company and also absorb 10 to 20 seconded workers from around April. A revised budget will be proposed at the city’s assembly this month. Source:NHK
