Koga City Introduces Familyship Program For LGBT Couples And Their Children

Koga City announced the introduction of the first ‘partnership and family ship certificate system’ in Kyushu. Beginning in July 2021, the city would issue registration cards to those who submit oath documents. The program would enable the provision of boshi-techo child health handbooks, the use of city-provided apartments and nurseries, and more. Koga City would become the fourth municipality in Japan with such a system. Source: Asahi
